Opening of the Crown Court
Our own Enharmonic choir accompanied the service in Reading for the start of the judicial year on the 8th October.
We were invited by Willie Hartley Russell the current High Sheriff of Berkshire to create the service music.
Daniel wrote a special Doxology Fanfare around the tune 'Sumer is Icumen in' a song which was first written down in Reading abbey in 1240 being the earliest known six part counterpoint from Britain.
With trumpet, organ and choir the result can be heard on this YouTube live stream. Sadly you can't see the choir as we were behind the camera and the sound is not great but you might like to skip through this recording to glean a little of the Enharmonic sound.
